Barry Angell

“The brighter the colour, the better,” says Barry of his creations. A longtime woodworker, he originally started with projects from the “Honey-Do” list. Barry enjoys working with local species of wood and has added new painted designs to his collection.

His Whimsical Ornamental Birdhouses are hand-crafted from a peeled birch log on a rustic birch pole and topped with a cedar shake roof; perfect for decorating your flower garden or vegetable patch! He also makes a larger version that can be used as a beautiful and functional doorstop or garden decoration. Weather-resistant, all Birdhouses are given multiple coats of acrylic paint in colourful hues and then finished with an outdoor sealant.

Barry’s focus has recently turned to wirework. Dragonfly Screen Savers/Suncatchers and Keepsake Tree Ornaments are created using galvanized wire and a variety of colourful glass beads. Spoonful Wind Chimes are crafted from heirloom silverware mixed with spinners and beads for a distinctive sound and unique look.

Each item has its own unique colour theme; great hostess gifts for the camp!
