“Creativity emerges in different ways when you have different tools to play with,” observes Karen. “I love expressing myself creatively and learning something new every time.” She has a number of items available at the Treasure Chest, ranging from beautiful quilted wall hangings to cord-wrapped bowls and bags, and notecards with her photographs of the area. A new venture is photos of local sights manipulated in Photoshop, printed on fabric and quilted then mounted for hanging. The first series is all blueberries. “I’m so excited that we have the Treasure Chest and that we have support from the community for local talent.”
