Crocheted doilies, booties, baby outfits, scarves and angels, crafted by Katherine Corradini, are all available at the Treasure Chest. Her grandmother taught her to crochet and knit when she was 12 years old. “It’s so peaceful and relaxing and I enjoy making things for people,” she says. “It’s like an addiction—I have to have my hands busy!” Her favourite motif is a pineapple design and her yarn of choice is a fine cotton. Katherine also enjoys her volunteer shifts at the Treasure Chest. “I just love meeting all the people from across Canada and the United States,” she says.
